I think LeBron is the better player, but I'd take Shaq. You don't replace either player, but I couldn't pass on having the shit and the urine down low.

This is a tough question, because Shaq is a dominant player, but so is LeBron...

While Shaq has won 4 titles, he's always had a legit sidekick..

I'm honestly not sure who I would take. Partly because LeBron is not in is prime yet.

Considering LeBron hasn't reached his prime yet, I'd say this is a question that should be asked in a couple years. Remember LeBron is only 24, but its scary to think he is already being mentioned with these guys.

I think LBJ is in his prime. He's just such a freak his prime will last a decade.

IMO, prime is when you have nearly maxed out your potential.. I don't see that yet.

LeBron has gotten ridiculously good from the 3, but still needs to get a better back-to the-basket game...

LeBron should be in his prime by 26.

But, this is just one mans opinion.

Shaq. I think if there is a dominant big man....you always build around him.

I would have to go with Shaq. He was probably the most dominant player in NBA history in his prime.

I think there are way more talented wing players than post players, so if you get the chance to get someone who will just control the paint you take it and build around them. See Orlando last year.

Shaq all day. LBJ really cant be rated for his prime until he is 28 though.

^LOL, no. I'd take Jordan over Shaq easily. Magic probably. Kareem, Bird and Wilt maybe.

Shaq without a doubt in my mind.

Shaq vs Jordan is a good question...

If you would take Larry Bird over Shaq in his prime you're insane.

I believe I said maybe, not certainly. If you don't think there is an argument then you're in denial of your own insanity.

If you'd take prime Shaq over prime Jordan you're clinically insane.

I really think the only 2 guards I would take over a center are Jordan and Magic. The Big O is pretty close, but lack of titles keeps him off.

Shaq vs Jordan or Magic is a really good argument to me.

Wilt, Russell, Kareem and Shaq are all great centers who dominated. Couldnt go wrong either way.

So a total of 6 (maybe 7) players and 4 of them are centers and 2 of them are BIG pgs.

LeBron may get there someday, but right now no.

Yeah I think LeBron will over take him someday--if he stays on the current path, I don't see why not.

I guess I'm in denial then, because there is no chance in hell.

LOL, alright. If you want to talk about greatness--they're both great players. If you want to talk about game changing--I could argue that Larry did more to change the game than Shaq.

Dude, are you fucking serious?

You give me Shaq and Scottie Pippen and I'd have 8 titles in 8 years.

What did the Bulls do without Jordan for that season? They STILL made it to the ECF, defeated by who?

As others have said, great perimeter players really are a dime a dozen. You can pair Shaq with a solid wingman and you have an instant dynasty.

Shaq was easily the most dominant force EVER to play the game... EVER..

SQ, your opinion is just that, an opinion.

It's a good debate and one with solid points from both sides that could turn into a great debate, however when people start shit talking others based on their opinions, these debates just turn into shit...

so GTFO of here with the bullshit.
