Even if they suck I'm a pretty good tipper. I usually will go a few bucks, plus the change that makes the dollar even, over 15%. I don't want their job!

Eating, if the restaurant enforces a tip for larger parties (usually either 15 or 18%), I leave it at that. Otherwise in the U.S. it is 20% unless the service is absolutely terrible (which never happens really). Drinking, at a bar a dollar a beer or if my wife gets a more exotic and more expensive drink maybe a couple of dollars. If I order take-out and the bartender hands me the food I'll usually give him/her a couple of dollars for their trouble, but otherwise I don't tip on take out, Five Guys or at Starbucks, etc.

Generally 20% for good service, food and personality ... 15% for bad / poor if its the waiter/waitress but will speak to management ...if the problem is with operational factors I give the waiter/waitress 20% but will speak to management to let the waiter /waitress know they are doing a good job but their manager sucks.

20%. If they add gratuity and don't tell you, I leave nothing. That's bush. If they tell you, I'll usually give them more.

I tip 15-20% even though i think it's gay people expect tips. Find a better job if you're complaining people aren't giving you a tip. Your job is to serve me food, why should i tip you? I don't get tips at my job. Seriously, tipping is retarded.

Right around 20%, usually on the high side. If the service isn't very good, 15%-ish.

For drinks, I generally tip $1 every time I go to the bar.

I feel like I'm a pretty shitty tipper unless I feel the waiter went above expectations.

However, I go out to a place in Akron for wings weekly and usually spend 8-10 dollars with wings and a few drinks. I always tip $2..so I guess that's right on par

The only people I don't mind tipping are bartenders so they don't take too long when I come back for another drink and the women who cut my hair since if they fuck up i'll look pretty stupid for a couple weeks. Chefs deserve a tip for the food tasting good, not the punk who brings it. Do you tip your mcdonalds server? no. Why should I tip my waiter/waitress? they both get me food and drinks. I tip out of necessity not because I want to. If i don't tip the bartender he'll be a bitch and give me a weak drink, same goes with anyone else who works for tips. Bitches expect it, then when they don't get their tip they do an even shittier job next time.

15% if I had average service.
18-20% if I had exceptional service.
10-14% if I had poor service.
5-9% if I had exceptionally awful service.
21-25% if I had exceptional service and the waitress was hot (when I was single).

I roughly estimate 15 to 18% then round to the nearest dollar, up or down based on quality of service. If it's a low-cost place, I round up more. If it's an expensive place, I round down.

20%. However, my wife and I are regulars at a wing restaraunt. We always go to the bar. We have gotten to know the bartenders and usually tip them very well. On $5 pitcher night, we may run a bar tab of 30-40 bucks. I will give them a twenty for a tip. Of course every time they pour a beer or drink that was mistakenly ordered, they give it to us non-gratis. Being regulars has its perks. I usually don't keep track, but I don't think they charge us for every drink we order.

I agree with most of your points, except bartenders. I can understand when the bar is very busy and it's hectic, but when there are like 5 people at the bar they can GTFO. I still tip, but I still think it's bullshit they expect a good tip from me when I go to bar when it isn't busy, and all they do is fill up a beer or two.

I tip $2/person or 20%, whichever is more. I used to work in a restaurant and I know what decent service is supposed to be like and when it's the servers fault something is messed up. I'm not afraid to stiff a server if they suck.

How do you guys feel about the pressure tip? My bro was drinking at a low key bar one time, and I met up with him. I was hungry, so I had a very small dish. When I paid for the dish with my credit card, the server brought the receipt and legit stood by me the whole time looking over my shoulder until I signed the receipt. This did not make me happy.

I would've scribbled up something small. On CC tips don't a lot of places total them up at the end of the night and disperse it to everyone?

I picked up a call-in at LaRosas a while back.....the only cute one that works there swiped my card, handed me the receipt and said I need you to sign your name right there please and put your $2 tip right there on the next line. She caught me off-guard...she was hot...she got $2 for handing me a pizza and swiping my card.

20% unless the server is an ass. Tip over 20% typically at places I frequent. I've found that being known as someone who will tip well can get you better service.

I would think a huge tip was in order if they suck.
