The ads you saw yesterday weren't google and they paid out a grand total of 15¢ in the almost 24 hours they were up. Not even worth displaying.

There is no problem in that at all. But if they don't work, the members of the site that have been here since the beginning will obviously bitch and moan about it. The point is to grow the site. I get it. But at the same time, and I think most on here would agree, we all like the site. We enjoy coming here to get info, discuss, call people ****, etc. We want it to work, but the way it's going right now just isn't doing it. This site really has jumped the shark. Some of the choices for moderator have always been a huge problem, and the latest rules have simply given them more ability to get off on the very small source of power in their lives. It's shocking how quickly you forgot all the things I assumed you were intent on NOT doing when this site shot off from JJ.
There are plenty of examples of forums far more successful than this one that have maintained their relaxed rules. Unfortunately, you've probably screwed it up too much now.

There are soooo many similarities between this site and JJ...right
It's amazing that people will complain about getting a warning or infraction here. Over there you get no warning. Just deleted posts and a permaban with no explanation. Not even a chance to complain about it. I've been banned there 3 times. That is probably 1-2 more times than the total banned users on this site.

I'm kind of glad the ads were shut off. I'm sure another OC will pop up the next day and it'll be the same thing over again, hopefully with better leadership and a moderator staff that isn't full of the "good ole boys".
