Did I miss anything?

Also, the ads aren't showing up anymore. WTF did you dickheads do?

Some crying about the rules, but nothing out of the norm. Lots of complaints about the ads, but no idea what happened to them (I never see them anyway with adblock).

They were still around on the 3rd. I noticed a rather risque ad that JJ would have fallen over himself apologizing about.

Here, however, nobody complained, and inevitably would have gotten a "QQ" if they did.

From what I can gather, and I am not 100% sure on this, it looks like ads are disabled because of "mature" content. I used to get those emails from Goog that would say "fuck you, clean up your site in the next 48 hours" but I didn't receive one this time. It still looks like that might be the issue. Can you guys help me out and move any "adult" threads you see? I'm going to move anything I see but I might not get everything.

Here is a link that list what they consider adult content: http://support.google.com/adsense/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=105957

Fuck this is annoying.

Well fuck, ain't that some shit. Keep us posted on what it turns out to be. I think we've been pretty good keeping the adult content under control but seeing that it include language could push us over the top in a lot of cases.

Would a thread like the Lohan Boobs one in SB set it off? While we don't consider the word "Boobs" bad, fuck knows Google may, and since it's in a thread title it's easy for them to pick up on

I can't move threads. I know this doesn't help.

I was wondering that myself. Its obvious what he is going for, but is Teh Goog that smart?

I'm wondering if it wasn't the Heat fan blowjob thread I just moved to the basement causing all the problems.

BTW, O-Trap, since you make your living online, if you have any suggestions or ideas for other ways to generate revenue let me know. I've been searching for "adsense alternatives" and am reading up on some of them. I want to stick to ad networks than display ads based on content rather than promoting specific products, though.

How much does it take to keep the site running for another month?

I am, too! Did everything get worked out?

I'll try to find a contextual ad provider. I know there are some, as there are forums that have far worse content than this that still have them.

AdBrite ads are up now and made a whopping 5¢ since they've been up.

I'll give it a few days, I guess.

I've always wanted to dig into the contextual ad arena and see if I can figure it out. I'll dig into it a little bit. In theory, it's simple, but in application, it seems rather difficult.

It might, honestly, be worth split testing such contextual ads versus flat out static ads that are targeted to particular forums, or a mix of both, even.

I already have an image rotation script (perfect for cookie rotation), but I don't currently have it set up with link capability, though I'm not sure how difficult that would be.

My wife found this and sent to me: http://www.gauherchaudhry.com/how-to-survive-and-thrive-after-your-google-slap/

If I could find a handful of advertisers to advertise I'd could forget about google.

You aren't going to find many advertisers when the users of this site are continuously posting about how mad they are that they can't go around attacking everyone else, and saying that is their idea of interesting content.

But, that's also just in the basement and without being a member you can't read the basement.

I mean, I like the idea. I just dunno that the membership of this website is very appealing to advertisers. Out of the 3 forums I am very active on, 1 did adsense (this one) one does local advertisers (car forum) and the large general forum the owner does his own affiliate advertising, but they also have to charge for features due to having over 100,000 members, so there really isn't any telling how well that actually does.
