I don't believe they will look at individual members as much as overall unique visitors to the site. Which we get 30k+ per month.

Break even is $70/month. That said, I'm not too interested in keeping the site going just to break even. I put up with all of the bullshit because the site actually made me money. I'll run it as a break even venture for a little while but long-term something would need to happen to generate more income.

Too bad I can't just offer the site up for sale to the community. Let them raise enough funds to buy the site and run it however they want. Purely democratic, just vote on everything.

Honestly I have no idea. Best case scenario I get this google thing figured out in the next few days. Yeah. I mean, the headaches were worth it when I was pulling in at least a couple hundred a month. I hate just giving up on the place but if adsense doesn't come back I don't know what else to do. I'm not going to keep it around long term to just break even. No fucking way is it worth the headache at zero profit. That's cool. I know it's pretty fluid right now, but I was trying to see if you had a foot out the door that far or not, even if Google comes back

Nah, if google comes back we'll be fine and stick around. I've been working on migrating the site to drupal but that's going to be put on hold for now. Not sure what we'll do if google doesn't come back. If I can find direct advertisers it might actually be more profitable, it would just take more work of actually finding the advertisers. If I could get a handful of advertisers to at $100/month or so (on average) I'd be happy.
