do you get all the fixings/ingredients out before hand or do you pull out of the fridge the mayo, mustard, tomatoes, etc as you go?

I usually take everything out and once and put everything away at once. A lot easier that way than opening and closing the fridge 12 times.

Both.

It depends on how complicated the sandwich is. If it's a simple meat-n-cheese thing I'm throwing together to scarf down while driving to work, I'll have everything out at once, but if it's something with a couple condiments, banana peppers, tomato, etc. that I'm putting a bit of effort into, I'll grab ingredients as I go and as I put stuff back into the fridge, I'll pull more stuff out.

I can't believe any of you are admitting to even making your own sammich. I hope you only do it if the wife/gf is outside washing the car.

And btw, when I'm making my Hubby and/or son's sammich I get everything out all at once, but I don't put it away until I'm sure I got it right.

I'm single.....back when I was married, I sure as hell didn't make my own sammich! Come to think of it, that might explain why I didn't eat many sammichs back in the day....and could be Reason #385373428.b1.24 why I'm no longer married.

I'd comment on this, but you've mentioned that she sometimes reads this site, so I fear that she might withhold certain "privileges" unless you ban me if I would give my opinion on what you need to do in order to get a sandwich when you want one.

But seriously, I laugh at the look on Hubby's face when he gets all forceful and 'orders' me to do something for him. It's like he's thinking 'hey, I'll give it a try and just maybe she'll do it'. Then the look on his face as soon as it comes out of his mouth is PRICELESS!!! Like 'oh shit, that was really stupid'.

sometimes when i'm feeling nice i get them all out and just leave them there. every once in a while she gets the hint that i want a sammich. if not...curbstomp.
