Ground hog up a tree WTF

I’ve seen a lot of strange shit in my life, it never amazes me what will be next.

I have a old shed and wood pile 30 feet from my house and beside that is a Mulberry tree (hate that tree). Two weeks ago I’m leave the house and I hear this sound up in the Mulberry tree I look but before see what up the tree a ground hog come running from behind the tree and into the wood pile. Yesterday early in the morning I come out from my garage and I hear this noise up in the tree and sure as shit it’s a ground hog (I didn’t know those mofo could climb a trees) there he is on a branch about 20 feet up, as soon as he saw me he was down that tree (fast as hell) an heading to the wood pile..

Did you know ground hogs could climb trees, have you ever seen one do it?

Note: I have a Co2 Pistol (bb or pellet) six rapped shots … ambush time mofo:D</SPAN>

Yes. I've seen woodchucks/groundhogs up a tree on a few occasions. Have also seen gray fox up a tree.

Change in bucket list: Kill a ground hog with my Tomahawk seem more practical now :D

I never witnessed one up a tree personally but my neighbor showed me video of one in his tree. I called him a liar when he said it was in his tree so he took video to prove it. I was wrong again. Had no clue ground hogs could climb a tree.

I shot one out of a tree in our back yard when I was a kid. I was shocked when I saw it crawling up there myself. Little bastards were creating holes that the tractor tires kept falling into.

Used to hunt them all the time as a kid. Only thing you could hunt year round besides coyotes. Plus like you said on my grandparents farm the holes would trash tractor tires and equipment. Grandpa would give me a dollar for each one I brought back to him. He would eat em, I tried it but didn't like the taste what so ever.

I like watching The Turtle Man from Kentucky on the Animal Planet channel. Last night he cleared out a guy's barn by using smoke and his gloved hands. The holes were causing the man's mules injury.

One of my dogs when I was a kid loved to chase the ground hogs in our orchard up the apple trees where he would jump up and pull them down and then proceed to rip them to shreds. His record was almost 50 for one summer. That dog was awesome.

You can keep the Miracle Whip. I'll stick with mayo. :)

I just want to make two clarifications:

1. Turtle Man catches all kinds of critters by hand and the show I was referring to was ground hogs

2. Miracle Whip is salad dressing.

That guy is flat out crazy. He kills me the way he does that crap by hand. I have caught turtles before but never jumping in a pond and catching them by hand. Love his tv show though

Since so many Chatterers are at each other's throats lately, we might as well add to it with a Mayo vs.
Miracle Whip thread! ;-)

I was shocked the first time I saw a groundhog climb a tree. It's mistake was only going up it about 5 feet or so...
