Should the NAACP have the right to shut down the state lottery that people of all races enjoy playing, because they feel that it is harmful to the black community. Wouldn't it be better to just ban black people from being allowed to play the lottery?

One of my favorite quotes from the article.
"The way things are set up in the store is targeted for black people and poor people,"

I thought most lottery machines were at the checkout counter where everyone will see them.

Do you think it is ok for the NAACP to stop a state lottery because some people are not responsible enough to control their finances? I am asking a serious question.

If you are narrow minded enough to believe that "black people", agree with the NAACP. You're worse off than I thought.

I think anyone who doesn't want the lottery should not play it. The Baptist seem to be complaining about real issues, such as the lottery not providing for education the way they said it would and not providing revenue for other programs it was intended to help. I have no problem with those complaints, but to have the NAACP claim that stores are setup in a way to take advantage of black people is a complete joke. My comment about banning black people from playing the lottery was a joke, the NAACP would just have more complaints against the lottery and still want it shut down.

The NAACP is a joke and nothing more than a crutch for unmotivated blacks who are always looking for a handout. I know quite a few blacks who are not supportive of anything about it.

When groups like this find racism where there is none, it hurts the cause of identifying and defeating real racism.
