If you hit "reply with quote" you will quote the selected post. If you select the little quote icon with the "+" next to it, it will quote all the selected posts. No more long threaded quoting.

Quoting the post that you are replying to cuts down on a lot of confusion and a lot of needless arguments over people thinking you are responding to their post by starting your post off with ^^^

I'm not going to do any "enforcement" one way or the other, I just ask that you give quoting a try,

It's the "quote this post" sorry. I just remembered the small "+" symbol on the bottom of it while I was making my post.

Rather than just making 3 separate posts.

how do you quote only a selected sentence or two from a long post? I've been just copying and pasting within quotation marks....

E.G. if I wanted to respond to just a small section of post#4 on this thread without dragging the whole darn page.

Amen, brother.........like I just did with your post.

I can't stand all this long ass repeat quoting stuff.

Use your backspace or highlight and delete.

All ya got to do is keep the brackets from the top to the bottom.............everything in between you can delete.

Oh, well, I tried.

Looks like you may need to update the directions, since vBulletin works a little bit differently.

Lord knows enough people will have trouble quoting (even though it is now easier).
