Worst part of that storm was the wind. Blew off a side of my neighbors house (siding) and it's just drywall now.

I had no idea it was coming. Was in the sticks headed towards Athens with no cell service. Three trees fell into the middle of the road and 1 came down right in front of me. I am very lucky

No electricity in Jackson....barely.
Bullshit!!!
About every 3rd street in town is not passable.
I can go without air conditioning but need electricity.

That's what I call a Cat 1 hurricane. Watched the Columbus news, the weather today was serious business up there.

Hope everything turns out for the best. Here in Lancaster some have power some don't and literally hundreds of trees and objects strewn I've see reports to 81 in Lancaster.
Here is a link to the storm reports so far. This thing wont stop til it hits the Atlantic.

It took me seven hours to make the five hour trip from Cuyahoga Falls to Lexington. going down 71 I passed two semis on their sides, another semi upright but on fire, one car flipped onto its roof, and two more facing the wrong direction against the median wall. I didn't see any of them, but I assume the storms had something to do with them.

AEP has about 500K customers without power in Ohio, saying 5-7 days in some cases.
They're comparing it to the remnants of Ike in 2008 in terms of wind speed and number of outages, and that's how long it took them to fix that mess.

If you have a big freezer put your stuff in there. As long as you keep it closed it will keep for a few days. We lost power for about thirty seconds but our cable went out which has never happened to me. All my bitching about dish and direct is biting me in the ass now lol.LJ;1215634 wrote:This fucking blows. we are probably going to lose around $200 in food. I'm registering to vote now so that I can vote in favor of that thing AEP is against. This exactly why monopolies are bad. No incentive to please customers because customers have no choice. And there's also no incentive to invest in infrastructure

You had basicly a hurricane go thru these places and take stuff outjordo212000;1215692 wrote:I'm registering to vote now so that I can vote in favor of that thing AEP is against. drive thru and ordera burger and fries! Thousands of men and women are out in 100 degree heat cutting trees and
resetting power poles and your bitching about it already! Grow the hell up! Your an ASS!!!!!

Lol....
It is frustrating that your neighbor 20 feet away has power and out my front window the intersecting street does as well.
I'm on city electric so hopefully by tonight.
