FWIW, I'm a market researcher working with several Fortune 500 companies. I write and manage surveys (both online and by phone) and package the results for internal client research departments to present to operations, executives, etc. Customer satisfaction, price optimization, market segmentation, marketplace perceptions, we cover a lot. Chances are, if you've shopped at a major chain in the past 5 years, you've at least seen an invite for one of our surveys. Yes, the results you share do make a difference (with some clients more than others).

I run a distributor that sells PPE items (personal protection equipment), such as gloves, eye/hearing/head protection, respiratory protection, etc.

Not really, since we're more industrial related. We have access to safety clothing, etc. that these departments can use, but there are distributors in place that service these particular industries exclusively.justincredible;1206148 wrote:Any of your items police/fire/ems related?

Call these guys (1-800-647-1900) and ask for their nearest distributor....that, or you can check out Home Depot or Lowe's to see if they stock this style/fabric.

Every company is different, but ours doesn't hit you with an increase unless there's been 2 paid claims in a 3 year stretch. Also, don't be a d-bag in the process of settling a claim or give the company any reason to suspect you're being less than 100% honest. A good company will look to find coverage for you....consider that when price shopping your coverage.ernest_t_bass;1204964 wrote:This is the major thing I LOATHE about insurance companies. Homeowner market is seeing big increases, so claims or no, you're probably going to see an increase, even with exemplary ratings, credits and package credits.

I am the IT Director at my company. I probably won't help anyone because I hate desktop/end user support. So I will refer you to this handy flowchart.

Well Said. Insurance companies HATE writing small checks. Many times the admin cost is more than the value of the check. So for $150 over the deductible, I would probably not even turn it in. Also, many companies have allowances as someone mentioned earlier that will allow you to have a small claim or two within a certain period where it does not effect your premium. My best advice is to talk personally to your own agent, and not a claims rep to determine what is best for you and your individual situation. That is what I would want my client to do.RedRider1;1206298 wrote:Every company is different, but ours doesn't hit you with an increase unless there's been 2 paid claims in a 3 year stretch. Pretty much the same here, including macros (though I'm a bit rusty from lack of use).
As do I.justincredible;1206002 wrote:I make websites.
I work in online marketing, and am specifically and Email Marketing Specialist. I also own my own affiliate marketing business, dealing primarily in digital fulfillment products sold through rev-share or CPA models.
I don't know much about SEO or paid search advertising, in case anyone considered asking.
