I am a big proponent of NBC's decision to broadcast everything at night, as I just prefer to watch it in the evening on my television and not have to worry about finding it online or my phone -- whether or not the network should also do so during the day is another argument -- but why do they wait until midnight?
I, also, like NBC's decision to broadcast the stuff at night. At the end of the day, I enjoy being able to sit down with the family to enjoy the Olympics together. I think that as long as they stream everything for those who want to watch it; it shouldn't be a big deal.
The one thing that I would change would be to put the fluff later. Show the events first, and if you want this fluff (some of which, I enjoy), show it after the sports. Play the events from 8-11 and fluff from 11-12.
