Probably pissed they have to watch this team day in and day out.....

Talking about the most accurate pitchers of all time
I wonder how many wild pitches he had during those three seasons? If it was zero, that is amazing!

I just looked it up, he had 70 WP in 23 seasons, 0 in 1997 and 2006, with a high of 8 in 2005.

I guess good catchers prevent passed balls like good catchers prevent wild pitches. I remember them saying when Johnny Bench was there, the Reds routinely led the league in fewest wild pitches.

Phillips didn't need to go through his legs. I bet he's the type of guy that campaigns for All-Star votes as well.

I watch the Dodgers last night.....how much different is Hamilton than Dee Gordon I wonder.

Everyone says how he's nowhere near ready and his defense is lacking.....I believe them, but would still love to see it. I love players that can do stuff mo one else can.

The modern day Donell Nixon?

I imagine Hamilton will get some run in the outfield before he ever makes it to the majors.

And between the legs is the most efficient way of the two, if you can time the throw between the steps(I wasn't too good at doing that, based on my jump rope proficiency), which BP can obviously do. I thought it was the best way to do the play when he first pulled out that between the legs stuff last year on a slow hit ball on the throw to first. I remember seeing that play live and thinking how did he get that ball there, I didn't see it go behind his back. I wondered the same thing seeing this one live too!

But I do think he was hot dogging it last week on the throw to first that didn't convert the last out of the game and postpone a complete game for a few more minutes as Dusty was trying to decide to take Cueto out or not.

To answer I92's poll: No, he didn't need to(could have tried the more risky behind the back instead).

I don't think there's ever any doubt that Phillips likes to hot dog it. It's who he is. If he's on your team, you're ok with it. If hes the opposition, you hate it. I get that. I'd probably hate it against us too, but he's on my team. So I'm good with it. Lol.

I think there are times he makes things harder then they need to be. But as long as he makes plays, go for it.

Good to see Heisey get an AB to try to keep his batting eye, and to see him try to go oppo. Can the Reds bullpen hold the lead for two innings?
