I always though he'd be more consistent. Must be saving up for when the other bats go silent.se-alum;1199934 wrote:Only bad thing about this series....Bruce is struggling big time!!

Think he's playing off those DirecTV commercials like with Charlie Sheen. That's my only guess.
And for vball I have no idea, lol.

Yeah, I'm sure Phillips has never had a bad series :rolleyes:Midstate01;1199861 wrote:Oh I was being sarcastic. Kipnis has what 2 hits in the series. Indians fans... Lol
Kipnis still has better #'s despite having no protection in the line up. Phillips had a great series and is definitely a great second basemen, but Kipnis is 25 and has really yet to hit his ceiling. Phillips is 30..

Phillips had his best years when he was 25/26, there's no guarantee a player gets better. Nobody is saying Kipnis is a bad player, but we would like to see him do it for at least a few years before we say he's better than BP.hoops23;1200934 wrote:Yeah, I'm sure Phillips has never had a bad series

Exactly. There have been a lot of players who've had a good year (half of last year, half of this year) in the bigs, then sucked. Not saying kipnis is going to do that, but you have to do it a few years to really be able to compare to the other good players at your position.se-alum;1200969 wrote:Phillips had his best years when he was 25/26, there's no guarantee a player gets better.
