I understand that. There stats are pretty damn close, there isnt as big of a gap between them as you would like to think.robj55;1197759 wrote:If we are talking scoring then maybe, but Lebron is just as efficient at that as well. There is more to the game of basketball than scoring.

Game 1 is key. I think I saw today that the winner of game 1 wins the series 72% of the time.
72% of the time, they win every time.

You're the worst type of "fan" and I use that in quotes because I don't really consider you a fan of anything. You can't be a fan of a player. You just can't. It's the stupidest god damn thing in the world; it defeats the entire purpose of sports--to feel emotion with a win and loss. You don't get mad when the Heat lose, but you sure as hell probably get happy when they win. Awesome "fan" you are.robj55;1197775 wrote:I'm a Lebron fan, and you're an OKC fan

Never said there was, but Lebron does everything better, and is wayyy more versatile. People always act like I'm bashing KD or something, not the case at all. That kid is as good as it gets basically.KR1245;1197777 wrote:I understand that. There stats are pretty damn close, there isnt as big of a gap between them as you would like to think.

Yeah I give him credit for that too, but man OKC's bigs are gonna pretty much have their way physically the rest of the series.wes_mantooth;1197773 wrote:He is soft, but I will give him credit...he is the only one that showed any heart last year in the Finals.

I've never been a fan of a team really, just followed my favorite player who was Jason Williams. I don't get mad or happy either way I just enjoy watching some people play. I'm sorry that you can't accept that.SportsAndLady;1197782 wrote:You're the worst type of "fan" and I use that in quotes because I don't really consider you a fan of anything. The only category that there is much of a gap is assists.
I get that stats might not tell the entire story but his numbers were right there if not better than Brons

KD is a much better scorer than LeBron as well. He shoots better, he can attack the basket and his midrange game is much better.KR1245;1197802 wrote:KD averaged more blocks, points and rebounds.

Sure you can be. I was a fan of James Harden at Arizona State because my friend went there and told me to start following him, and I became a big fan by the end of his 2nd season. When he got drafted by the Thunder, I started liking them, at first because of just Harden, but now Durant too.SportsAndLady;1197782 wrote: You can't be a fan of a player.
I would agree it's definitely more of an emotional disconnect, it's just not the same, but I would disagree that you can't be a fan of a player.

The Thunder somehow get better as each game goes on. The Heat seem to stagnate.
Idk if thats a function of depth or what, but its a glaring trend.

I'll take Lebron over KD anyday. Stupid to think they two players are even in the same universe.

There's a difference between being a fan of a player and following that player around wherever he goes and taking that team on as your own.lhslep134;1197812 wrote:Sure you can be. I'm not the coach, I thought he would guard him more than half of the time, really only was on him about 33 percent of the time tonight and I don't remember Durant scoring on him really. I would look for Bosh to start game 2 and Lebron to slide over and check Durant. Again, I'm not Coach Spoelstra, they were trying to create mismatches and it worked in the first half because of Lebron's defensive versatility. Second half Miami didn't make the adjustments. I always laugh when people blame a player for who they guard, like we as casual observers know more about a team than a coaching staff does. The coaching staff sets the match ups and defensive assignments for players, not the players.hoops23;1197801 wrote:Why wasn't LeBron guarding KD like you predicted?

I didn't mean it like it's impossible to be a fan of a player; I meant it as you can't, as in that makes you look like an incredibly huge fucktard.lhslep134;1197812 wrote:Sure you can be. Then why is Lebron more efficient? I hear this all the time from Melo fans, "he's a better scorer than Lebron blah blah blah". Really, shooting 42% is better than 53% and who takes better shots, just a silly notion.hoops23;1197807 wrote:KD is a much better scorer than LeBron as well.
