Two weeks away from tournament and I need to tweak. Yes, I know it's t-ball...but I coach to the rules/regulations. So I'll give you some insight on each player...let me know what you think and where I should bat them.
We have 11 players, we bat 10 per inning. The next inning, player 11 leads off. So typically you want to keep players who have a chance of clearing the bases at the bottom of the lineup (10, 9 and 8 batters will be last in the 1st, 2nd and 3rd inning).
This is the current order I'm planning on using tonight (which is a big tweak from the last few weeks). Adjust with your input accordingly.
1. 2B. Our 2B has relatively good speed, can't hit past the IF but gets averages going 2/3 per game. He pays attention while on the bases.
2. RF. Our RF has been getting on base almost every time. She doesn't hit out of the IF and has issues paying attention while on base.
3. LF. Our LF can hit the ball hard, but only half of the time (if that). He skips down the base paths, but is probably our 3rd best power hitter.
4. 1B. Our 1B is a lefty. He CAN sometimes hit with some pop and has good speed/awareness. He hits down the 3B line everytime. He's our 2nd best hitter and has only gotten out twice this year.
5. C. Our C is also a lefty who hits down the 3B line every time. He has the capability of putting it in the grass. He was a righty who I converted when I saw what he could do. Our C is a chunk and has no speed.
6. SS. Our SS has good speed and the potential for good power. The issue is, he tries to golf swing it every time and 3/4 times it is a pop-up (which is okay because no one can catch in tball). Could be the best hitter on the team, but doesn't listen well and doesn't retain what we tell him.
7. 3B. Our 3B is the third best hitter on the team. She's big and hits to the 3B side every time (even though she's a righty). She listen to coaching well and has good speed. Not a lot of power, but could hits in good spots.
8. P. Our P is our best player. He hits for power (averaging a HR per game) and has by far the most speed. He listens while running the bases and is the only player we can count on for clearing the bases potentially (He'll be last batter in the 3rd here). He has been batting 4th for us all season.
9. RCF. Our RCF tries like hell, but he's very small and not very fast. Makes good contact every time he's up...but it's usually fielded by the pitcher. We've been working on him hitting it down the 3B line. Has a lot of potential, but he's our youngest player.
10. OF Rotation. Our #10 batter is in the OF rotation each inning. She hits it hard for her dad, and lays off during the games for us. She's big and not very fast. She listens very well, but has troubles putting it all together. If we can get the kinks worked out, she could hit with some power...but we've yet to see it in the game.
11. LCF. Our LCF does NOT want to be playing t-ball. I know his brother and parents and he has great potential. And sometimes it shows. But his hits are usually weak, rarely making it past the pitcher. He has good speed and listens on the bases, but it all hasn't come together yet. He's the 2nd youngest (I believe), so it will come as long as he wants to play.
So with those descriptions of my t-ball team....help me put them in a mass run producing order. Go! And don't mock me for this...I don't want to QQ before our game tonight.

I lol'd while reading this.
how many innings? Just wondering, seems like you need to maximize the use of the pitcher that homers once per game. Might want him to bat 10th to bury the other little bastards right out of the gate.

You need to find yourself a ringer. Know any kids a few years older that are good at baseball that just happen to be below average height for their age?
Not sure how much insight I can give on a t-ball lineup, though. If it was a three out league I'd probably have a better idea.

3 innings, everyone bats (up to 10). There are outs...but in some cases there are like 8 per inning. "Last batter" attempts a homerun every inning. He is only out when the catcher gets the ball and steps on home plate. Everyone who hasn't crossed the plate yet is also considered out.

Whatever you do DO NOT bat your lefties back to back under any circumstances no matter what.

So batters 9, 10 & 11 bat twice and everyone else bats three times?
Is Blue Jacket the place to go?

Lol. Honestly Snot, just teach the kids the best you can. I'd rather develop good kids in my area and win in kid pitch than win a bunch of tball games.

My t ball team I coach, everyone bats once per inning. Last batter runs all bases and so does everyone on base.We rotate batting order each game. The kids also have option of doing coach pitch or tee. My son is really starting to get into it, which is great to see.

Many years ago,I was coaching a t ball team in the tourney finals. The score was 10-9 and it was in the bottom of th inning. the other team had the bases loaded with no outs. Their #4hitter was a the plate and hit a line drive to 2nd base. The kid caught The ball on the fly, his momentum made him step on 2nd base, and the runner on 1st ran into him and his glove on 2nd base.
Triple play!. the other coach was incredulous and started cussing and literally crying. He even refused to shake my hand after he game.
I know cool story bro.

I remember the article in the newspaper about this play, complete with your picture. Good job coach.
