Check-in on this thread if you are still actively interested in moderating. Or check-in on this thread if you no longer would like to be a moderator. I am going to start a thread looking for recommendations on new moderators, as well. I've noticed a lot of rules being broken lately looking through threads since I haven't been around much. I need to make sure there is active moderation going on, especially when I'm not able to be around much.

Yep, but since I can only do the football forum, not much moderation is needed right now.

Are things good over there? As far as people behaving themselves. I know there isn't much action now.

Eh, skank has his normal whining, but other than that it's good.

Yeah, it's pretty calm, even the typical hot spots (Wayne County, Steubenville, anywhere skank posts)

Anyway, here I am, and I'm still willing to do it. I have been on less as of late, but I think I'm still here plenty enough to be useful

Also, if you guys can think of anyone that would make a good moderator let me know. I am getting feedback from everyone else but obviously want to know your input.

The 3 I have seen mentioned that are the only worthwhile ones are Curly J, Laley and Gorocks

God, CoA and Hoops would be terrible.

I actually think CoA would be good if he took it serious. No way on Hoops, though. I think Laley and gorocks would be great. Curly, too, not sure if he'd want to do it though.

Also, off-topic, but I bought that site theme I linked to a few weeks ago and am making huge progress on getting the new site ready. When I get it all configured I am going to make it public at new.ohiochatter.com (or something similar) and give people (everyone, moderators and users) a week to play around and get used to it before it goes live. I'll write up some instructions for you guys on how to moderate since it will all change. It will all be more seamless. No need to login to a special area just to moderate. Just an FYI.

Here. I lurk more than post, given work/kid constraints. But I'll try to be more active on the moderation front.

Justin, would you mind putting a sticky in this forum that lists (1) the rules and (2) the protocol we're supposed to follow for enforcing them? There have been a few iterations, and I find it tough to keep trackof exactly what I'm supposed to do (e.g., are we still cc'ing you on a PM to them, etc.).

Sure, I can work on that this afternoon.

Thanks. There have been times when I've gone to moderate a post but stopped because I couldn't remember which set of rules we were following at the time.

I'm interested in continuing. I think FatHobbit would do a good job moderating.

Yes still want wrestling but I won't be able to give much time to college football if you want to remove me from there. My freetime has really decreased due to work but the wrestling board is usually tame except for Nelson!

I was also thinking Curly as well

I'm still here.

I am letting a lot go in the pro sports because mainly it just goes away after a few posts.

Also, COA would be terrible. Even if he took it seriously. He is a complete douche. And he would probably give infractions out for not liking your hometown team.

Set Chesapeake as a moderator and really fuck with people's minds.

But seriously, gorocks would probably be my #1
