Was enjoying a Bushmills Irish Honey and Sprite after a shitty day at work and spilled a little less than half the glass on my laptop. The computer turned off immediately. I popped out the battery, and set it over an A/C vent to try to dry it out. That was at 5:00, and I just tried it and it still won't turn on. Every time I hit the power button, the battery indicator light turns on...but the computer won't do anything else.
So any recommendations on a new computer? I can't afford a lot right now, but I'm in need of something that doesn't suck.

nice little budget computer.
Newegg has a great deal on a refurb, but it is a 17.3 inch...not real portable

Boil some rice and put the computer in the pot. It soaks up the extra water.

If you are wasting Bushmills by mixing it with sprite, you deserve what happened.

I know....I know...I shouldn't be a pussy with my liquor. But I do it that way because my wife doesn't realize how much alcohol is in the cup, and therefore cannot give me shit. When I'm drinking it straight, she knows that I'm downing a shit load of booze. But even with that little bit of Sprite, I can get away with drinking so much more without her getting all pissed off.

What?? Pretty sure you just put your laptop in a container of dried rice for a couple of days. That'll soak up all the moisture, but may not unfuck what you fucked up.DeadliestWarrior34;1185456 wrote:Boil some rice and put the computer in the pot. It soaks up the extra water.

Understandable...but if you are going to do that just buy some Seagrams 7 or some other bar whiskey for those times when you do that, and save the top shelf stuff for sippin'But even with that little bit of Sprite, I can get away with drinking so much more without her getting all pissed off

Why does your wife care how much you drink? Are there other issues?

When all you have left in the house is the top shelf...and you need a drink, you do what you can with what you have.HitsRus;1185951 wrote:Understandable...but if you are going to do that just buy some Seagrams 7 or some other bar whiskey for those times when you do that, and save the top shelf stuff for sippin'
Without going into any personal details...yes, there are other issues as to why she cares.chicago510;1185979 wrote:Why does your wife care how much you drink? Are there other issues?
