I don't think it's using the coach to do your dirty work if you tell him you don't want junior playing and ask him to remove him from the game.

That makes sense. But if you found out he was there, would you go to the coach and ask him to remove jr from the game, run on the field and remove him yourself, or wait until after the game. (I'm sure there are other alternative reasonable scenarios we have not discussed.)

Given those choices, I'd wait until after the game, which I hope he enjoyed, because it would be the last one he played in while under my care.
