After many years, ballot attempts, etc., Ohio now has an operating casino OPEN as of 9:30 PM... the Horseshoe Cleveland.
All I have to say is... It's about time. I wish the deal would have been better, but at least a) Kasich was able to get the casinos to give more and b) it's a start of keeping that money in Ohio.
I don't plan on making any special trip any time soon, but if I'm up there for a Tribe game, I may swing by.
Anyone heading up soon? Any other thoughts?

If I end up in Cleveland I'd stop by. We get ours next year, can't wait.

Got thrown out already. The security is ridiculously tight tonight. Hopefully it loosens up once it's open a little longer

My mother in law is headed up Wednesday. She is a frequent gambler at various casinos around in various other states.
I don't gamble but plan on swinging in sometime just to see what it is all about.

If they want to have some grandmother deal blackjack, it's not my fault my reflexes are quicker than hers.gut;1171326 wrote:Ahhhh....In the old days Vegas would have broken your fingers.
Then they have the fat ass floor manager come over and tell me "that's against the rules sir, please do not touch your chips after the bet is placed." LOL, Yeah, okay chief.

A small step forward in the embarrassingly long process of Ohio joining the 21st century...

Why should a voluntary transaction have been illegal in the first place?believer;1171370 wrote:Legalized gambling is a sign that Ohio's progressing?

The wife and I will go up in the next weeks, drop a few bucks and pick up a Slyman's Corn Beef Sandwich on the way home to make me feel better

See, this is why I live in San Francisco. Every weekend when I'm feelin horny i can just call up a transexual escort. Usually cheaper than women. They dont expect foreplay or for me to talk to them or cuddle with them, or kiss them like a gf. And since they have penises themselves they know how to give blowjobs, none of that little half assed loose lip sucking the head shit. They wrap their mouths tight around my dick and vacuum seal it and take their nose all the way to my pelvis each time. That's what's up, they know what a man wants.

It's not granny's fault that she knows the rules better than you do. Would you be less mad if the floor manager was skinny?2kool4skool;1171362 wrote:If they want to have some grandmother deal blackjack, it's not my fault my reflexes are quicker than hers.

Unless it was his first time in a casino, there is no way that happened. Even then I don't buy it.

Same thing happened to me once. It was a fairly large bet too. I left the table after the next few hands.bases_loaded;1171437 wrote:You're either lying or an idiot.
