This isn't a new idea though. We used to have a "Who's Now" tournament.

They always gave it to the most recently deceased poster though....fucking rigged.

Scratch that, if any mod outside of FFT or Otrap gets nominated, the contest is invalid.

Yeah. Like others said, dude seemed to be a good guy. I guess "seemed" is the key word to me, since I think his main time on the Huddle must have been during the 2005-08 period where I was banned. When it happened, people were in shock and decided that he should win the whole contest and I was just like, "Who..what...?" because I had no idea who the dude was.

But since everyone seemed into the idea of him winning to preserve the memory of him or something like that, I was cool with that. The fact I'd been booted from that tournament in either the first or second round had NOTHING at all to do with that. Honest. Nothing. At. All.

So, if we do this, hopefully no one dies while voting is going on. Or if someone does die, hopefully, it's the sort of unpopular person who either wouldn't be in the contest or is only in it for the lulz, so people can laugh when they get beaten 54-1 in their match. As long as it's not someone who people will miss or care about. Because that ruins contests.

Is it fucked up that I thought this post was funny?

I do recall gonemad was winning his matchups regardless of his death. He was in the final 4 before he passed away. Everyone respected him on that site.
