Tribe is the only division leader not at 20 wins or more...
Detroit, currently in 2nd is 2 GB at 16-17.

It looks like both Easts are really good, and every other division (outside of the division leader) is pretty damn bad. Baltimore, Cleveland, Washington, and the Dodgers in 1st on May 13th is crazy.hoops23;1168726 wrote:Tribe is the only division leader not at 20 wins or more...

I still think Detroit wins 90+ though, so it's too bad the Indians haven't been able to push the lead out a little bit with them struggling early.

The Tribe will be lucky to finish above .500 this season--their pitching and lack of power is beginning to manifest itself already...enjoy this while it lasts, fella's

Yeah, I don't see it either. I'm worried about the depth of our pitching. I think our top 5 are pretty good, especially if Ubaldo gets straightened around (that's a big if)...but I think he is the key. Since joining the Tribe...he is 7-7 with an ERA of 5.18...not the pitcher we thought we had traded for. If we stay in it, it is possible we could pick up a bat or another pitcher in July...but who do we have down on the farm to trade?
I see Nick Welgarz was taken off the 40 man roster. It wasn't that long ago he was considered a top prospect.

Not to beat a dead horse...Indians batting average differential continue to split wider. 263 and 217 versus righties/lefties respectfully. I think the tribe wins today and gets the split which is not a bad thing.

Jack Hannahan with some horrible base running. Hopefully it won't cost us a run.

I hate that we have a bunch of number 3 starting pitchers, but not that ace that we can count on. We don't have anyone with the talent to be that...Ubaldo is the closest thing talentwise, but he hasnt been shit in several years.

lol....johnny damon is so terrible in the outfield. Definitely entertaining out there...lmao.
This team won't be in it around the all star break...there is just no way. Not enough talent. And the Tigers will eventually get it going.
Glad we could jumpstart the Red Sox though...I was beginning to worry about them

I thought the Tribe would suck this year and am pleasantly surprised at how well they are doing. Then I read a post like this after a game like today's and get myself grounded to reality.vball10set;1168899 wrote:The Tribe will be lucky to finish above .500 this season--their pitching and lack of power is beginning to manifest itself already...enjoy this while it lasts, fella's

Well at least Alex White got shelled today. Hafner, Duncan, Choo, Damon and Kotchman's play...horrible.

Well Wedge, It doesn't rally matter what White/Pomerantz do except to beat ourselves up. We are stuck with UJ.
As bad as this weekend was...let's keep in mind that a season is made up of good and bad streaks...and at the end of the marathon if your good runs are longer and more numerous than the bad ones, you are in pretty good shape.
No need to panic but we need to end this bad run next game....

Dan Wheeler is the worst. Masterson sucks too. Looks like last year was just a fluke.

tribe seemed really listless in the final three games (aside from maybe the late innings on saturday)
