I think that he had some mental problems, so it might be self inflicted. Hope no one else is hurt (i.e. his kids).

Says possible suicide.

You know what will come next......the head injury issue in the NFL.

Thank you Captain Obvious.

Maybe if it was Ryan Seacrest dancing in a speedo you would be more interested in it.

That makes 8 people from the 1994 chargers that have died.

There is a thread dedicated to it.

Also, he put it in his chest. Obviously wanted them to study his brain. Smart suicide?

In 2010 Seau drove his car off a cliff, and later said he fell asleep at the wheel.

At any rate, a very sad loss for football fans. 20 seasons is quite an accomplishment.

Sucks for his family. Sounds like he is 1-1 in suicide to suicide attempts. Too bad he did not get help back in 2010. I know there has been a lot of news with former football players and brain injuries but I wonder if "they" have looked at the brains of nonfootball players who commit suicide to see if they have abnormalties as well.

So you're wondering if scientists are using a control group? I sometimes wonder if mechanics use tools when working on cars.

Oh, yeah I am pretty sure he meant his record was 1-1 on suicide attempts. I thought there was another failed suicide attempt out there I hadn't heard, which is why I questioned it.

1-1 or 1-2 both work. With sports it's usually "Win-Loss" Not "Win-Games." But you're way works to because it's more about attempts "Shots/Passes Made - Attempts."

So it's just how you think about it.

This is where I came with the second attempt (actually, the first chronologically)--I took 4ringz post as implying that this incident may be veiwed as a 'failed attempt'.
