not everyone can get a Master's degree, pay at McD does not cover the basic needs for family, especially one with a single parent. Obviously you've never worked at my McDonald's. We pay a fair wage to our employees, which is slightly above minimum. If you can't support your family on that, then don't have kids. And we do have a single mother who works for us. She was hired because she's a hard worker and will probably start her own franchise someday. Then she can pop out as many babies as she wants.

Otherwise it much like the experience of many people in college, finishing an advanced degree with the promise of greater reward in the near future.
And not much like the situation of the single parent families living in poverty today who are not finishing off a Master's degree.
I am not talking about the college kid living at home or on campus where many things are taken care of for them.
