This is a good post...but consider what I put in bold print. The reason you "know this" is because you were educated as a Christian. (I'm not saying that it is exclusive of other religions). Very simply put...you are what you are taught....and the Christian influence in your thinking shapes your concepts of morality. I'd would say that it is also true in others who have since become atheists. Morality is independent of religion. If no god existed, would you rape or murder your neighbor? I doubt many would answer yes.

Morality can arise independently.....I mean the universe arose out of nothing...and so can morality. That said...did you grow up in a vacuum? Nope.

But attributing morality to Christianity is not accurate.
