That is an interesting post. I think he is top 15 for sure, but not sure about top ten. He is nowhere near the level of MJ, Magic, Wilt and others...at least not yet. I would like to make a list, but I am sure I would forget some obvious ones.

He already is a top 10 player. He's the best player I've ever seen play; yes, better than MJ.

Not better than MJ, but in terms of overall skill/talent, he'd be right next to Kobe as of now.

agreed. I think it is so close between Magic and MJ. Magic being a dominant pg at his height...was amazing to watch back in the day. MJ was a pure scorer and a great defender. Lebron isn't even in the convo...I mean, not even close. He is the best athlete I have ever seen...I will say that

It's amazing to me how soon people forget how great a player was. MJ was heads and shoulders above everyone. What he did in his career was remarkable. All in an era where real defense was allowed.

Exactly. James should not be even mentioned in the same sentence as Jordan.

Yep. He was a lockdown defender, a closer and an OG. He also invented the new NBA travel....now you can take 10 steps without it being called...lmao

Teams average more points in Jordan's era. Nice try though!

This x1000 buddy! The worst team in PPG was 104 in 1986. Now only the Nuggets are averaging that and I think the Lakers were averaging 117 that year! Now only the Spurs, Nuggets and Thunder are even averaging triple digits. Back then everyone was

He had a great game last night, still doesnt make up for his finals performance. Fair or not, Lebron needs a title (maybe 2) to change the mind of the majority of the country. You can't **** down your leg in the finals like that, especially when you're as good as he is
Blown out of proportion? He went 45-15-6 in an elimination Game 6 on the road in Boston:huh:

Yeah. I heard some dude on Mike and Mike say that it was the best performance in a playoff game that he had seen in the last 20 years. Really? I dont want to take anything away from his performance but I'm not going to go that far. A great player had a great game. I understand that it was in a closeout game on the road, I'm just not ready to say Lebron has reached a new level or anything like that. We have seen this stuff from him before.

If he has a bad performance in game 7 or the finals it will bet blown up for more than it is. It just seems that there is no middle ground with Lebron. If he plays well "it's the greatest performance ever" if he passes up the final shot or plays poorly it's "the worst performance by a MVP of all time" or "he's not clutch".

I LOL'd. When old man Paul Pierce or Pietrus is guarding you that eliminates any talk of greatest performance in the playoffs the last 20 years. Jason Terry shut down Lebron in the Finals last year.

That was a remarkable performance. The unfortunate thing is, at least for LeBron, if he doesn't come up big tonight in Game 7/misses a GW shot/the Heat don't win....Game 6 will become a distant memory quickly for most. You're only as good as your last game (especially when it comes to LeBron)....fair or not.

Absolutely true. No one gives a shit what he does until he gets a ring. He brought that on himself with his PR disaster.

The thing is, what if he becomes a consistent closer? Seriously what is there to complain about if he does?

This is what, like his 9th year in the league? I'd say the odds are against him becoming a great closer.
