I would hardly call Ariza, Ron Artest, and Michel Redd "Star" FAs. The point being is that the Cavs team was tailored to LBJ (like the bulls are to Rose, Magic are to Howard), and remove him and the team will now be pretty bad. No one is lining up to sign long term deals in Chicago as FAs or in Orlando either. Not surprised you ignore this fact for your typical failsponse.Skyhook79;1185733 wrote:None of that mattered. Star FA players do not want to play in Cleveland period regardless if Lebron talks to them or not.
Also star FAs in the NBA are a rare thing, the yr of LBJ, Bosh, Wade, and Amare was a one time thing. I can't name the last star in NBA other than those that hit FA. Nice troll fail.

LBJ wasn't the only player that left the Cavs the year he signed with Miami. Cleveland could have competed in the Eastern Conf if it was just Lebron that left. Way to ignore the facts.Commander of Awesome;1185745 wrote:I would hardly call Ariza, Ron Artest, and Michel Redd "Star" FAs. Who else left? Shaq? LMAO what a dipshit. Not to mention the injuries to players like Anderson Varejao.Skyhook79;1185756 wrote:LBJ wasn't the only player that left the Cavs the year he signed with Miami. The cavs team was built with shooters around LBJ to space the floor. He was the main player outside of Mo Williams that could create his own shot and pretty much the only one that could drive and kick the ball out. Once that threat was gone, the shooters were guarded much closer and thus harder to pass them and give them better looks. The entire team was built around the best player in the league (3x MVP). Once he's gone the team was in full rebuild mode, and you're delusional if you think the team without LBJ should contend in the East.
Talk about spin control, just stop talking and let the adults talk. Thanks.

Is it completely objective? No. Did Lebron bring it all on himself? Yes. Are you a gigantic tool if you're rooting for the Miami Heat currently? Yes.
Bingo.
It's hardly just Cav fans that want to see the Heat not win a title, it's almost anyone that is a sports fan. I don't know a single real NBA fan in Cincinnati but everyone talks about it when Lebron chokes and they want to see the Heat not win a title because of the big show when Lebron took his talents to South Beach. Kevin Durant has always done the right things, seems like a great teammate, seems genuine and you never hear a bad thing about him, that's why people don't get on him for a bad 4th quarter. If he leaves OKC for LA or wherever and makes a big deal about it then he'll get the exact same treatment Lebron is getting, guaranteed.

tim legler made a good point on NBA Today Podcast. OKC really needs Jeff Green in this series, an athletic four that can guard the perimiter and knock down some 3s, and Bos really needs Perkins to guard the paint against the Heat.

Still scratch my head over why the Celts dealt Perkins. It was like Ainge was trying not to win a title.Commander of Awesome;1185791 wrote:tim legler made a good point on NBA Today Podcast. This x10. Perkins is exactly what Boston needs right now, I don't know if OKC really needs freaking Jeff Green.BR1986FB;1185795 wrote:Still scratch my head over why the Celts dealt Perkins. It was like Ainge was trying not to win a title.

No I didn't elude to it at all, I eluded to the fact that he has shrank in the playoffs(last year shot like 35% in the conference finals) and has shrank in the 4th quarters of this series and not one word has been spoken about it on here. This place is a bunch of hypocrites. Like I said, people on here aren't objective if they don't like you. Yes I realize I'm not always objective about Lebron but at least I back up my arguments with basketball related details and not just hating bias bullshit.Commander of Awesome;1185716 wrote:rob eluded to it. Probably bc he's the biggest LBJ "supporter"/excuse maker/apologist on this site along with Jordo. Great company he keeps. He can be as delusional as a kobe supporter when it comes to LBJ and any player that is perceieved to be close to his level.

For them yes, I was referring to all of us watching the game. I don't think one person on here that was posting last night saw it on first glance.Hb31187;1185847 wrote:When you're on the baseline about 5 feet away it sure should be

Not at all, you're just trying to put words in my mouth. Durant is a great player, anyone who thinks otherwise doesn't know much about this sport.Commander of Awesome;1185844 wrote:

Yeah you're right. 50% shooting, 41% from 3, 91% FT, 9 rebs, 3 ast, 1.5 blk, 2 stls, and 29 pts over his last 5 games is REALLY falling off. Get over it. You're kidding yourself if you think he's having a poor playoffs.robj55;1185858 wrote:Not at all, you're just trying to put words in my mouth. He has taken like 4 shots total in the 4th quarters of this series so far. Like I said he shot about 35% against the Mavs in the conference finals last year. Not a word was spoken about coming up short.Commander of Awesome;1185861 wrote:Yeah you're right. 50% shooting, 41% from 3, 91% FT, 9 rebs, 3 ast, 1.5 blk, 2 stls, and 29 pts over his last 5 games is REALLY falling off. What, you mean like "Lebron isn't clutch and tends to choke in defining/late moments of the game" or "he tends to avoid taking the ball in the lane late when he knows he may get fouled and have to make clutch free throws?" Not hatred...ANYONE can see this. I don't like the guy, as a person, but these are things that can't be ignored.robj55;1185868 wrote:That's fine, but I at least back up my statements with basketball related arguments, not nonsensical hatred bs.
