sexual orientation is likely viewed in the same light, and his religious views are protected in the same manner. The clause in itself allows contradiction. Some religious, codes of conduct, and means of punishment violate mandated equality claims. The only way to prevent this is to specifically deny right religious objection to certain lifestyles or groups of people, and that type of legislation is dangerous to say the least.

I didn't see any quote where he stated he "didn't like" homosexuals. I gathered his statements to mean that homosexual activity is not considered normal scripturally but is in fact considered sinful.

Good point. I see this in a lot of examples in our society (not necessarily this Nebraska case) where every ideology, lifestyle, cultural belief, etc is considered normal and OK except a traditional Christian one.
