Part of me wants to see them lose since 75% of the fans will be wearing blue, but hopefully they get it done for the dogs in attendance.

Bray to the DL. Hoover up, he's the dude they gave up Francisco for.
Rolen better start hitting on this homestand. If he doesn't I think they need to consider a buyout.

Hoover has dominated AAA. Him and Simon were actually quality pick-ups given the issues with the pen thus far.

BP goes yard deep to center. After being bailed out by the first base ump.

2-0 lead, and other then votto, had some awesome at bats vs Cain. Made him throw 37 pitches.

Stubbs got another hit early in the count, so that is several he has gotten since dusty talked to him before the Chi series about not trying to get so deep. So we'll probably rarely see Stubbs go deep in the count from now on.

I wouldn't know. Fucking blacked out in Hawaii because of the giants. Even though the giants aren't on here locally. Always pisses me off.

"Bailed out!" That term got me thinking. Is the connotation usually that the one bailed out was not deserving of being "bailed out"? Such as just the last inning Joey was bailed out of his bad play of not squaring himself and making a good throw on the bunt, but BP's quick feet and athleticism in spite of his hamstring problem, bailed out Joey. Or in basketball a player drives the ball and is out of control and the ref bails him out with a questionable foul.wildcats20;1151950 wrote:BP goes yard deep to center. In the case of BP's foul tip in the dirt, I think the first base ump's call was correct.

They showed the super slow mo replay and he never made contact.

BP was able to pick up Joey getting the runner scored in the first, but he wasn't able to "bail out" Joey in the 3rd when he had the most grievous failure this game by not getting the RBI with a runner on 3rd with less than two out.
The bunt in that situation by Stubbs is extremely well conceived and Stubbs is doing much better on bunting so far this year. In sac situations, all he has to do is get it down fair and there is extreme pressure on the defense which will often result in them not getting an out and setting the Reds up for a big inning if the batters following can be patient and have good at bats.

I think that is one thing slo-mo is not good for is to see if the bat ticked the ball or the ball ticked the hitter. It is much better at a normal speed! When I saw the play initially, there was no question in my mind that it wasn't fouled as you could see the ball's flight change direction. My question was whether it hit the dirt which the replay both from CF and the first base side both showed clearly.wildcats20;1151977 wrote:They showed the super slow mo replay and he never made contact.

Not sure what to think of this one. Latos is getting hit hard but I guess it's a step in the right direction.
