While driving down from Toledo after spring break, I parked my car outside my apartment to unload my clothes. When I restarted my car and pressed the brake to put it in drive, the brake pedal sorta clicked and had no resistance. I didn't think much of it, I drive a college car after all, but I drove around the apartment to park my car on the street only to find out that my brakes don't work anymore. Instead of stopping I just get what I would describe as an "encouraged roll to a stop." It's sorta freaky and I'm pretty lucky this didn't happen when I was driving back down to Columbus at 70+ mph...

A buddy of mine thinks there's a leak with the break fluid. There's a tiny stain on the pavement underneath it, from something obviously dripping from the back of my car.

I need a mechanic, of course. Know any good ones in Columbus?

fairly easy repair. No need to do a bunch of looking for a "good" mechanic. shouldn't be very expensive either (for the brake line).

Village Auto Care, North High, Clintonville

They worked on my POS Maxima a few times. They do solid work and the price is right. I forget the guys name that owns it, but he is a funny dude.

this. Pray it's the front brake line. If having to rerun lines all the way to the back it gets a lot more expensive.

You don't need a "good mechanic" just one with a good price. It's a pretty simple job for a mechanic, just takes time.

My car has a 10 year/100,000mi warranty.

Hope this helps.

Seriously though, I took my car to Tire Discounters in Gahanna and they were awesome.
