And this is why fucking insurance rates are through the roof.

I've been hit twice before and didn't sue, because I was just a little sore and thought it was no big injury. Now I say fuck that, if someone else is at fault and crashed into me because they are too stupid to drive, I'm getting compensated. I've also been hit by a guy with no insurance, and the dumbass cop let him walk. I paid to fix my own car in that one. Like I said, the insurer will make an offer whether you plan to sue or not. A lady I know was hit 15 years ago, she had not done anything but get estimates, under $1k for her car repair. The insurer up & offered her $5k for injury settlement. She had no intentions of suing.

Most if not all policies have uninsured motorists coverage as part of your premium.

I'm mad because a dumbass put me to where I cannot get comfortable and mashed up my car...plus ruining a good family time.
thousands of people get rear ended every day - your incident isn't special. File a claim, get your money and get over it.

It was only 500 to fix, and since I was in my 20s, filing a claim would have cost the deductible plus higher rates. I had a friend with a body shop, he did some cars in Days of Thunder.

In general, I always sue. Especially if I see a cross anywhere on their car or body. I'd rather have that money go to something useful than any church.

Yes. If churches were liquidated and all the money wasted on them was put to good use, no one would go hungry and there would be almost no violence.
