Nothing can rescue you from the bad things in life here nor do I want rescued from them. Bad things are going to happen and expect them to. I am not seeking comfort from them. Comfort doesn't come from ridding life from the worlds ills. It won't happen.
I can't put religion in your life. No one can but you.
First of all, there is no evidence that we are born into sin, nor is there any evidence that sin even exists. The Bible is not proof of anything. Therefore, before reading the rest of your statements, you have already violated the basic considerations of a debate.
Bad things are going to happen because bad things happen. God certainly does not intervene, you get comfort from the fact that its part of his plan, and his plan is for you to live eternally with him in heaven. It's a cult guys. It's a fairy tale designed for adults to smooth over the ups and downs of life, to keep control and influence to a select few(the pope, your priest, etc.) and to earn money by providing a fraudulent church service every week. This is no different than Scientology, just more established.
I will never put religion in my life unless evidence, highly correlated evidence, outweighs the current status of not knowing. That will never happen, so I will never have religion in my life.
