Dusty made the move to Bray more for Bray's benefit - getting him in earlier in the game in non-critical situations.

Only 16k which sucks, but game 4 last season only had 11k.

Sure it does for him, but feasting on watered down / minor league-esque pitching doesn't do much for me. I just know Valaika hit pretty well when he was up with the big club and is a little more natural at 2B
Now... if Phillips doesn't go on the DL and they need a guy to bring up in a week or two, I have no problem with Frazier. Much more versatile

Baseball makes alot its bank from media deals and MLB.com advertising / sales
81 home games with 20,000 in attendance buying overpriced beer and food doesn't hurt though. Baseball owners have no shortage of cash. And besides McCourt all owners were incredibly wealthy beforehand as well. Whether they want to keep a star player is really completely up to the owner

The B bullpen team in there in the 8th for the final straw contributing in the loss! Typical Arredondo command problems. After getting the lead-off batter, he goes to 3 ball counts on both batters who got hits, along with two walks to end up with 1/3 of an IP and 3 earned runs.

Don't forget that the FS Ohio contract is due again in a few years. They are expecting more attendance this year, which will lead to more cash flow. Castellini didn't get rich by making poor financial decisions. People can question the contract all they want. But I'm pretty sure he knows what he can afford for Votto and Phillips. And unless you are his accountant, you really don't have a clue.

The TV contract is the downfall, at least for attendance. The Reds have, per capita, the largest fan viewership for games. They were second overall 2 years ago in ratings (behind the Yankees I believe) and 4th or 5th last year.
Lets face it. Reds fans care. There are more fans than ever. However, they are watching on TV, probably on their 58-inch LED's like myself and not going to the games.
Whether this hurts or helps the new TV deal, we'll see. They certainly won't get hurt because of a lack of interest in watching the team on TV. Maybe the new deal will include less games televised...

I hope BP isn't hurt but why was he turned around looking at the ball down the first base line? Maybe look at the coach in uniform standing near 3rd.

I was talking with a buddy of mind this weekend, and we both agreed that we could see the Reds trying to basically get their own channel, similar to what the Indians did with STO. I don't know the figures. Fab4 leaves in Akron. I'm up there every other weekend(basically). When the Cavs aren't on, FSO won't(maybe they aren't "allowed") show Reds games. I mean I get the fact that Akron is basically IN Cleveland, but there are plenty of Reds fans across the state. So instead of Reds games they just show random shows.

That's an antiquated view of things IMO. Putting games on TV helps build interest in your product, not hurt it. Living close to Athens, I can only make a handful of games each year. If they start limiting the games on TV, I'll lose interest in the Reds / baseball because I have no clue what is going on.
The "not show games because people aren't coming" view is kind of old school. Football can do it because they only have 8 games to sell. With 81 baseball doesn't have that luxury
