For as close as all 3 games were, that was just a horribly played series of baseball by both teams. At least we didn't get swept.

I've never seen that few people at a game on a good weather day. I took this picture as the Indians took the field

Announced attendance was 10,518. It filled in some more after this pic, but there were no more than 7,000 (and that's a generous guess).

Yeah it was pretty empty. The good news is attendance was up from opening weekend last year, when games 2 and 3 had under 10k and then under 9k. This year it was like 19 and 10.5 (but Toronto definitely helped that out).

Starting pitching has been lights out. Too bad they blew the first one....could have been a pretty good weekend.

I really like our rotation 1-4 provided Ubaldo pitches like he did Saturday all year. Gomez is a wild card but he had a great spring. Tomlin was our 2nd best starter last year and he is our 4th starter. Putting runs on the scoreboard will probably be the toughest task but great starting pitching will keep you in and win you plenty of ball games.

We could just as easily been 3-0. Tribe starting pitching has like a 1.43 ERA.For as close as all 3 games were, that was just a horribly played series of baseball by both teams. At least we didn't get swept

Derek Lowe is a gamer. But Id put the odds at 50-50 he gets shelled more often than gives up 2 runs in 7 innings.TBone14;1139887 wrote:I really like our rotation 1-4 provided Ubaldo pitches like he did Saturday all year. 3 games in and I'm already sick of this lineup not getting the ball out of the infield.
This team will be in a lot of games with starting pitching like that, but what a fail by the organization to do nothing to make the lineup better.
