Yeah....baseball!

Cueto vs Buehrle

Buehrle can be uber efficient and the Reds are often poor at plate approaches....on the flip side if the Reds are patient Buehrle throws about 86.

I can see the Reds rolling 6-2 and can see Buehrle throwing 76 pitches thru 8 for a 3-1 defeat of the Reds.

Reds win.

Miami will be bad this year. I saw nothing tonight that says otherwise.

What I saw was the Cardinals continuing their ridiculous fortunes.

Miami will be in the hunt for a WC. I think the Reds win today though. 11-3. Votto with 2 bombs!

Reds should benefit from the scheduling people completely screwing the Marlins over.

First, why the one game STL - MIA series and then why do the Reds need a day off after today's game haha

Off day is so if there is a rainout, the team doesn't hand out 40000 rain checks. Everyone still wants to go to opening day so they can get it in on the off day.

There's been a day off after opening day for the Reds for as long as I can remember

25 bucks on the Reds to win and the over of 7.5 runs. 11-3...good prediction!

Understood from a business sense, but from the player's perspective I'm sure they would prefer an extra day off in August or September

Probably depends on the team and their situation. Like, I'd guess the Pirates would rather have extra days off now because of their projected starting rotation, Burnett's out for a while with the fractured orbital and Morton's on the DL because he needs some extended spring training due to missing time with an injury of some sort. With the off days now, they won't get hurt by being short in the rotation, as they won't have to need a fifth starter until Morton is back.

Now, a team that has a strong rotation already set wouldn't have that problem or need these early days off, so it's a team-by-team thing, but I'd bet some teams are happy to have extra early off days.

Lol I have 25 on the Marlins to win and 50 on the over :P. Lets hope for both our sakes they at least get the over. Really hate that I already had plans made months ago for this weekend would have loved to of gone to a game down at the GABP.

Bruce with the first RBI of the season puts the Reds up 1-0 after 1

Rolen's arm doesn't look too good! I've seen him get much more on throws like that in previous years.

Rolen with an error in the first but makes up for it in the 2nd with a nice ass play.

Ehhh, I think he looked unbalanced when he let it go but I do agree that he has lost a little bit

Also, John Fay is tweeting that Walt told Marty that he is confident that a BP deal will be done in a week.

When the bell rings for the first game that counts, veterans Rolen and Buehrle get a little excited and misplay slow hit balls!

Votto may be an MVP hitter, and gold glove fielder with lots of focus and work! Now he needs to improve his base running. Although I don't think they'll pay him any more for that!

That play in the hole there not made by Cozart, like a lot of SSs, is his weakness!

Uh oh! Rolen usually puts that routine throw on Votto's chest.

On the Bonafacio hit?? No SS in the league gets him on that play.
