So we don't have to talk to people anymore, and now we won't have to look at them either?

The "beer goggle" potential of this technology could be huge!

A.) do you guys walk around talking to yourself like that? just checking incase i am doing something wrong.

B.) this would be the end of google after the giant class action lawsuit for people being injured and killed while using this device.

I'm sure the EULA would be pretty lawyered up on this one.

When I read "augmented-reality glasses", I was thinking it was "photoshop-on-the-go". Now, THOSE glasses, I'd pay for.

Just released a new promo video for the glasses, and will be allowing pre-sale to conference winners starting at the end of March ($1,500 btw):

I'm on the fence about this. It just seems like one more thing to disconnect people from reality and being in the moment.

Anyone seen that episode of Star Trek TNG where they get hooked on those eyeglass thingies that everyone is wearing, playing games and getting rewarded with pleasure making everyone walk around in a daze? Yeah, giant nerd but this reminds me of that.

I could see this as being how we watch tv in the future. Be a good way to make tv even more anti-social than it already is.

Can't see wearing these, but the potential for gaming and tv is huge.

This is what wearing Google glasses will really be like, and Google will record everything you ever look at to further "improve" their targeted ads.

I laughed. But as a serious consideration, I wonder what something like this would do as far as privacy expectations. If everything is being recorded and stored on some 3rd party server, there really isn't much of a privacy expectation. It pretty much paves the way for government monitoring 24/7.
