You can't pay for sex, but can you barter for sex? What's the law on that?

This is entrapment and why cops get a bad rap in some cases. How can someone turn down not 1 but 2 Double cheeseburgers for a little pleasure? Also this transaction, without a doubt, took place at sleepers McDonald's Franchise that he owns.

It was Raw Dawgin It's mom. Just check his FB page; I'm sure she's on there. Heard she's freaky deaky for some Taco Bell and you get multiple holes for Burger King.

Must have misread the Craigslist ad of "My pussy wants a cheeseburger".

“I agreed to the deal and purchased the hamburgers for $2.75.”
The real crime here is that two cheeseburgers off the dollar menu cost $2.75

In addition to the cheeseburgers, the woman told the undercover that he could also give her a tip. In response, the cop handed over $60. The woman kept $40, took the McDonald’s grub, and directed the cop to a vacant Bradenton parking lot “to park in to complete the deal.”

So, the cop gave her $60 but she only took $40 (and the food)? I guess she just couldn't accept $60 in good faith for the services rendered.

No, entrapment would be approaching her and offering to pay for sex. He never offers that. When she suggested the tip is when she was busted.

I'd go way higher than 2 double cheeseburgers.

Asking a hooker to have sex with you for money is not entrapment. You have to convince them to commit a crime they weren't readily willing to commit.

Giving someone the opportunity to commit a crime is a sting not entrapment.

Burden of proof in a lot of states is similar to this: “Find this defendant not guilty, if you too, the jury members would have agreed to have sex with this undercover officer for money.”

Or in this case cheeseburgers.

But would this not make the cop guilty of soliciting?

Makes sense. I think that's probably a good explanation of the distinction with entrapment. Like if he offers $1M that would be entrapment, but $40 isn't. "Readily willing to commit" really the key criteria.
