I've noticed there are some who clearly aren't fans on there. But who is a fan? Favorite songs?

To those of you who aren't, why? I'll tell you something--I didn't used to be, but I'm a fan in a big way now...but looking back, I can't really say why I wasn't a DMB fan. I'd just like to hear your reason--if you just don't like their music then I understand, but how much of it have you actually listened to?

Their cover of Cortez the Killer is what hooked me, been a big fan ever since:

I like their stuff. Not crazy like some people I know that go to see them 4 or 5 times each summer, but I enjoy listening to most of their music.

I said no, but I'll listen to a few of their songs on my iphone.

I have a friend who is crazy about DMB, and yet another who vehemently despises them.

...can take him or leave him. I guess that means I'm not fanatical.

I like the music but I am not a big fan of the live stuff. I just don't want to hear 15 min solos.

My 22 year old son is a big fan and often listens to his music when he is home from college, he got me hooked on Dave Matthews as well.

Favorite show to go see live...they're incredible. That said, the latest album wasn't that great (had a few good songs on it)...he could just tour forever on what he's already put out and I'd go see him every year.

I don't dislike DMB, however, his sound gets old, and I have to be in the right mood to listen to it. My wife, however, loved DMB.

I hate so much about the things that DMB chooses to be.

Comments like that should be applied only when speaking of Toby Flenderson

Ugh, Toby is the worst. DMB is on the same level for me. :)

I have been a fan since the mid-90's. As far as I'm concerned, they have never made a song I didn't like. Love the new album. "Why i am" is one of my favorite tracks.

Don't hate him but not a fan. Everything sounds the same.

I enjoy them. I've never seen them in concert and don't listen often but there are several songs I truly love. Partly because the songs are good and partly because it makes me think of living with my old roommates and the good times we had (they were both obsessed with him).

Dave is alright. Two of my top 10 rock songs are my Dave (Crash Into Me, Cortez The Killer-- pretty much only because Warren). I have to be in a mood to listen to their stuff, and it rarely happens. Just not my style I suppose.

You absolutely have to see them live. They're so much better live, it's unreal.

Not a fan. But, I did love Crash the first billion times I heard it on the radio. Now... nothing.

I want to...but only with my old roommates. Unfortunately they both live in Arizona now so unless they come back to Ohio next summer and we can go it probably won't happen. We'll see.

Pretty big fan here.

For the people who say that their stuff all sounds the same...what are you talking about? You are entitled to your opinion, but to me, one of their strengths is that their songs DON'T sounds the same. You have to get away from the stuff they play on the radio, though. Their best songs are more obscure.

#41
Dancing Nancies
Grey Street
Crush
Halloween
Lying in the Hands of God
Grace is Gone
The Stone
Minarets

I could go on and on...
