OSU seemed to take their foot of the gas and Kansas exploited the opportunity. Good recognition by Kansas, Thad recognized it too late. IMO

All american in middle. X'O's had nothing to do with this game. Players play, make plays. exactly. You simply cannot lose to a less talented team. And to come out flat, not looking to run Buford off some screens in the beginning of that second half...is just poor coaching. We got away with the 2nd half letdown vs Cincinnati because, well, they were Cincinnati.
Kansas wanted it more, and their defense was practically begging Craft to drive and attempt a shot. No offensive rhythm, DeShaun went AWOL, and too many wasted possessions.

Matta's Xs and Os are fine. The only problem I have with him/the team is their shot selection. I know he likes to let the kids play, which is fine, but teach them the fucking difference between a good and a bad shot. Craft wasted at least half a dozen second half possessions on stupidity. Matta isn't the reason the team is going home though.
As for Sullinger, he has to leave because he will never get paid otherwise. If he gets a jumper he can be an above average NBA player, but he will never be better than that, and the longer he stays at Ohio State the sooner everyone will figure that out.

I like Sully a lot. Got to know him personally when he was in high school and an even bigger fan while he is in college. But what I have said about him when he was dominating is that there isn't much upside with him. Since his Junior year of High School I question how much better could he actually get and couldn't see where. The Jared Sullinger we have now is probably the same one we would get next year and teams would have yet another year to figure out how to play him with players with ton of upside. Most of them have left after 1 year, tough to get much continuity when that happens. Where was Ohio State basketball before Matta came here? He is doing just fine.
