Fabulous Elite coaching/team matchups. Pitino vs. Donovan and Roy vs. Kansas. Then you should have two pretty entertaining games between four really good teams in UK vs. Baylor (could be another track meet) and Ohio State vs. Syracuse.

Good weekend ahead of us.

Interesting thought here.

Preseason rankings:

1. North Carolina
2. Kentucky
3. Ohio State
5. Syracuse
8. Florida
9. Louisville
12. Baylor
13. Kansas

Name the 5 who are missing...

I think UK will beat Baylor pretty easily.

I really need UNC over Kansas for bracket purposes. Very worried about that one. Was very confident before Marshall got hurt.

These matchups are fucking epic for an elite 8.

I love Cinderellas more than the next guy but when it comes to the elite 8/final 4/title game I want the best teams there, and we have that.

Love the Ohio St - Syracuse match-up and the Florida - Louisville match-up. Pretty blah on the UK - Baylor game cause I think Baylor is poised for a horrible night and UK will wax them.

CAN NOT WAIT for the UNC - Kansas game tomorrow. Even of not 100% healthy I really hope Marshall can go. But I doubt he does, and that will reall hurt the quality of the game and really hinder Carolina's chances.

Marshall's brace only allows about a 20% range of motion. He partially participated in practice today, but was having trouble catching and passing the ball. He might try to play, but even if he does, he won't be very effective. Carolina's other stars need to play out of their minds for the Heels to win tomorrow.

Carolina would be dumb to play Marshall. He'd hurt them more than hurt. Just try and get past KU, which is very possible, then see if he can go in the Final Four after a week of practice with him.

Hope this helps.

I definitely don't think it's in Marshall's or Carolina's best interest for him to play, but he is most definitely playing. CBS performed an interview with Williams at the half of the Florida game, asking him about Marshall's status, and Roy had a big tell. That tell being that he was full of shit.

According to Roy, it's now a "game-time decision." One day ago it was "He can't brush his daggum teeth, you think he can play? Get some intelligence."

He's playing.

Louisville doing a nice job battling back here. Although I think Siva just fouled out.
