How is that lack of bench hurting UK this year? Bench/ being tired, so overrated. Only time the bench issue arrises, is if foul trouble comes into play. And OSU bench has actually stepped up in situations this year when that has happened. With all the TV timeouts, which are extended in length in tourney, there is NO excuse for players to get tired. Play hard for 4/5min stretch, you then get a few minute break.ccrunner609;1126131 wrote:OSU gets beat tonight and it will be the lack of bench that does it

Bench is overrated if your "short bench" can play multiple spots. For instance, Doron Lamb, MKG and Miller can fill-in at PG. Jones can play center. MKG and Miller can play the 4.
It's similar with OSU. Buford and Smith can handle the ball. Thomas can play the 5 for spurts. Versatility really alleviates the need to go more than say 8 deep. The elite programs, who generally have the 6'8 and 6'9 guys who can handle the ball have the luxury of a guy, for instance, like Kidd-Gilchrist, that in a pinch could play any position. Outside of PG, Deshaun Thomas can do that for OSU, so lack of depth inside is much less important.

Says the doofus whose every post is stupid.ccrunner609;1126142 wrote:Posts like this are stupid. I stated a fact about OSU that they lack a banch and Matta has a tendancy to stay with guys on the floor way to long. Now if you can actually debate that with some facts that prove it wrong then fine....post away. If all you have is that stupid **** then GTFOH.

Gee, how original, this has only been said 1000's of times each of the last 10 games.se-alum;1125401 wrote:Bottomline, Buford has to show up. It negates the inside advantage for the Bucks if 'Cuse can pack in their zone. On the other side, 'Cuse won't get the penetration they did against Wisky, so they'll have to hit some outside shots. Should be a great game.
Not if Thomas gets his 25, Sullinger gets 20, Craft gets 10 and Smith gets 8, or any combination there off. Then Buford only needs 7. 70 should win this game.

DEFENSE......Wisconsin allowed a dozen uncontested lay ups and almost won.

One thing not being talked about is osu's defense. It's pretty good too. It will get a major test. Hopefully one of the cuse guards doesn't have one of those patented career nights against osu, like so many others seem too.

I've always backed Thomas. But his interviews lately have been borderline arrogant. I don't want him getting a big head and laying an egg

Smith seemed to be bleeding a decent amount. Hopefully he can come back unaffected by it.

OSU keeps trying the same play with the post feed and a bounce pass to Thomas/Sully. 'Cuse has read that the last two times... Gotta change it up a bit. Attack and get the rebounds.

Backside is wide open off of that, have to be patient and make that pass.hoops23;1126434 wrote:OSU keeps trying the same play with the post feed and a bounce pass to Thomas/Sully. 'Cuse has read that the last two times... Gotta change it up a bit. Attack and get the rebounds.
