The real deal in why the Bucks won.....total domination on the glass. The refs don't rebound the basketball.
That's the downfall of the Zone defense and one of the strengths of the buckeyes. OSU is great at rebounding on both ends of the court. The zone tends to give up some offensive rebounds. I feel like that was something overlooked too much. I think I only heard reference to that one or twice prior to the game.

The hideous refs must be accredited.....both teams played off in fear of fouling IMO

When asked about how well Williams played in the 1st half, Sullinger pointed out that after Christmas how hard Williams has practiced and improved. He then said everyone betterr look out for Amir next year. No one would have to look out for Williams if he played behind Sullinger and Ravenal again next year.
::Wishful thinking:: Sully at the 4 with Amir at the 5? And OSU has a really deep bench.

And Ohio State didn't let it get into their heads as much as Syracuse.

Sully is probably going pro, but I really think you're looking too much into that statement. Amir came in as a highly touted big man, he's not going to be riding the pine as much next season even if Sully does come back.

Maybe the ONLY time I wish we were still stationed in Biloxi and no Hawaii. I'd be there and have offered our house as a place to stay. Have fun!!! If you're looking to stay outside the city. Slidell, on I-10, is about 15-20 minutes from the city and a nice area. It's where most of swamp people is filmed. Or if you're wanting to stay in the city, there's a little area called meridian that's really nice as well.

Oh yea. It's far enough away from the city. Pretty small town but it's nice. If you don't mind a 50-60 minute drive you could stay in biloxi or Gulfport, Mississippi. Hit up the casinos at night. Guarantee some buckeye fans will be there. Always were anyway.

But yea Slidell is safe for sure!

Ohio State pretty much controlled that second half once Sullinger wasn't sitting for 14 minutes. Not surprising at all to me.

Gotta give credit to Syracuse, they won way more games than I expected this year. I still think they were the worst 1 seed I've seen in quite some time, but good on them for not slipping up and making it all the way to the Elite 8.

I'd much rather play Kansas than UNC in the final 4, because I think Kansas has overachieved even more than Syracuse did this year, but if Marshall isn't 100% I think the Bucks have the advantage over either team.

I've said it a few times this year, but I love Lenzelle. He isn't a great player, but he is solid in just about every aspect. He's the perfect glue guy for a team.

And I know Will Bu struggled offensively again, but he grabbed 9 boards and played solid D against Triche/Waiters/Joseph tonight. Good win. Final 4 appearance. Anything on top of this is gravy, because I didn't think they would get this far a month ago.

I kinda think they have too. But I still think they're a great team. I'm pretty sure before the season started, you didn't expect them to be in the elite 8.

Well from pre season expectations they've definitely overachieved. But I just don't buy the "since they weren't supposed to be this good id rather play them" argument.

Yes.

T-Rob is a monster. Tyshawn is very talented, but has the basketball IQ of a 3 year old and I would never trust him to make a good decision in a big situation.

Withey has become a very good interior defender, but let's not pretend he's not limited at everything else. There's a reason he couldn't stay on the court against Purdue. He can't defend perimeter players, and he doesn't have an offensive game to speak of.

After that? Teahan? Releford? Johnson? Really?

KU barely has 3 guys averaging double figures. It's Robinson and Taylor carrying things. Bill Self has done amazing things with this team. I don't have any doubts that OSU, with Sullinger, on a neutral court, is clearly the better team.

Yep. But he won't get recognition for that because he isn't Aaron Craft. If he isn't scoring he only gets hate.

I will give Willy some credit for the defense he has played but sooner or later this team is going to need him at the offensive end

Its not that hes missing shots, its that he has totally checked out on offense. He wasnt even looking for his shot against Cincy, he missed his first 3 and then he went into a shell. He was a little more aggressive vs Cuse but he forced up some bad shots. What bothers me about him is that the kid has alot of talent, everybody has seen it. When his game is right he may be more NBA ready than anybody on the roster. I dont know if its because hes seeing better defense this year with guys like Ligthy and Diebs gone but he seems to have taken a couple steps back
