I already told her theres no way in hell i will have any of those and she better not come home with any for her unless they are free.

Plaid shorts are still good to go.

Pleated pants are only acceptable if you're old or fat. If you're young and fat, you need to lose weight, and then wear flat-front pants, no cuffs. The end.

Where do people fall on cuffs? Have a friend who just started wearing French cuffs. I can't bring myself to do it.

I don't see many guys wearing cuffs with dress pants anymore. Typically, you need cuffs with pleats, so if pleats are out, cuffs are out, too.

Sorry I meant in shirts. Should have been more specific.

Opinions vary on shirts, but my take is that you should only wear french cuffs/cufflinks if you're wearing a suit. And then, I see it more in our NYC/DC people, not so much in the Midwest. But I'm open to being persuaded on this.

Cuffs on pants only belong with pleated pants. So therefore they are a no go lol

Cuffs on shirts look dumb IMO.

I love French cuffs, but only when I'm wearing a suit.

I agree. I'd say 99% of the time I'm wearing jeans and a t shirt or shorts and a t shirt. I wear a lot of flannel (no hipster), too.

I'll wear my suit maybe 2 times a year and a shirt and tie maybe another 2 times a year.

If it wasn't for work I'd be in the same boat. Professionalism is "gaying" me up.

It's not how many times a year...but that you wear them at the appropriate time. I can't stand it when people show up at a wedding or a funeral underdresed. A little less peeved at funerals when you know someone came straight from work and didn't have a chance to change.

Not saying they are out of style just saying 8 years ago if you asked guys to wear plaid shorts there would be no chance

Hell no, I don't want to accidentally gain employment. I show up to interviews in gym shorts.
