Who here wears a tie on a regular basis? What kind of knot do you tie?

I dont wear a tie on a regular basis yet. But when I do, I use the half-windsor.

Business casual in my office fortunately. Heading to a new office in less than a month, hopefully it's just as laid back, because I like the business casual look.

I do not have to wear a tie for work, considering I'm unemployed, so I really only wear them for weddings and funerals. I do have a nice collection of them, though.

Wear a tie everyday to work. I switch it up between Windsor and half-windsor.

I'll be applying to the Cleveland Clinic within the next year so hopefully their dress code is a bit more lax.

Dress pants and polo for me.

I will occasionally break out a tie, as well. Not usually for work. Funerals and weddings.

Coach and I may start wearing a suit on certain gamedays -- probably one per season.

I also have to wear a tie everyday to work. I used to have to wear a suit (ridiculous) and when I was hired I asked the guy if he liked my suit. He said "yes why?"

"you'll be seeing it a lot, as its the only one I own."

We're now down to just a tie thank god.

I've been doing the half windsor as of late, but I can also the lazy tie or the occasional full windsor.

I am picturing you more as a clip on tie kind of person.

Been 19 years since I've had to wear one consistently. Had quite a collection. Thank god those days are over because suits were a bitch to find. Have to wear one every so often if I'm doing a Skype with a client or on the rare occasion I meet one.

I wear a tie maybe 2-3 times per month.

jeans and a button up all the rest of the time

Glad you are not picturing me with no shirt on like you do for other men of the Chatter.

I had to wear a tie for 11.5 years when I was with a copier repair company. I always used the Windsor knot.

I think I do the Half Windsor, or whatever is most common.

2 twists, up from behind, down the front.

The only problem I have is that I like a big knot, but it's usually a smaller one. I need to learn a new knot that will for a bigger knot.

I don't think that's the Half Windsor.

I honestly have no idea what it is. I know it's a simple/common knot.

Went and looked it up Four-in-hand

Four in hand. Have no idea how to do the others.
