if I liked the three stooges would that mean I was at least 80. Those movies stand the test of time.

No. My point was the first three movies on your list typically appeal to people of a certain age range, that is all.

if I was of the +35 age group I would have seen those movies would have in all probability seen those movie when I was a teen or even younger. Given the continuing availability of those films and their high quality I could be 12 and have seen all three films for the first time last week. Slapshot, Animal House and Caddy Shack are so funny in the absolute sense whenever you see them they are hilarious.

Great, but not probably not even in top 10 for me. Probably 15-20.

Also, Animal House is fucking gold.

Gosh I didn't know either of you were the age police. Those comedies are timeless.

Serious question. If you have already named them before I apologize but can you run off a top 15 or 20 list for me?

And I'm not normally a big fan of slapstick and potty humor....but am I the only one that thought Naked Gun (at least the first 1 or 2) was hilarious?

Word. No doubt on not a big fan of slapstick. Naked Gun was OK.

Classic funny slapstick includes Airplane, Animal House, Caddy Shack and of course Monty Python and Mel Brooks movies.
They were not always so "PC" back then, it seems.

In no order, other than Dumb and Dumber being #1.

Dumb and Dumber
Old School
Wedding Crashers
Animal House
Tommy Boy
Rush Hour
Caddyshack
Superbad
Liar Liar
Something About Mary
Ace Ventura
Christmas Vacation
Billy Madison
Happy Gilmore
Super Troopers
Ferris Buellers Day Off
The Hangover
The Big Lebowski

Its just behind a few on the list, but some are way ahead for me. Right on par or slightly ahead of these films:

American Pie (1st)
Office Space
Austin Powers (1st)
Forgetting Sarah Marshall
Clerks
Waiting

Im sure I am forgetting a few on both lists, but mostly probably missing a few on the second list.

It's harder to make a list than I thought it was going to be. My problem is that there aren't a lot of comedies that I like the whole way through. For example I really like Anchorman but even with that I fast forward through a couple parts.

I just can't get into the Vacation movies for the most part. I thought Christmas and Vegas both had a couple funny parts. I tried to watch European Vacation and ended up turning it off after about 15 minutes. I also couldn't get into Clerks 1 or 2 really either. I thought they both had a couple of funny parts though. As I stated before I just didn't care for Animal House the last time I watched it but I do plan on giving it another look. I think I'm in the minority on this board with Forgetting Sarah Marshall also. I thought it was alright but if I remember correctly it received a lot of praise on here.

I would add:
Rat race
Folks
Night Shift
The Jerk
Blazing Saddles and many more that are funnier than Anchorlame

Dumb and Dumber is the funniest movie I have ever seen. Only movie I laugh every 30 seconds of, and quote daily. Lebowski is great but has some dumb parts (flying carpet)
