The Preds are playing like a shark that smells blood. Words like critical and urgency are lost on the Jackets.

Is there anyone on earth (besides GMSH) left that thinks Hitch hasnt lost the locker room?

One good thing about tonight was that it was all you can eat night for season ticket holders. My wife and I got all we could carry.

Yep, all you can eat night is sweet.

Stevie Sullivan against the Jackets is even sweeter.

The defense is horrible.

I was always a big Hitch fan, but I agree it looks like he has lost the locker room. The Filatov situation did not go down well and I'm sure didn't make Howson happy, and now the team just isn't producing. He keeps changing lines and pairings and doesn't give anyone time for chemistry to develop. I miss seeing Voracek and Vermette on the same line, I thought they worked great together. Of course offense really isn't the issue with the team. Poor defense and goaltending.

What is going on? We are still on the same pace as last year but it doesn't feel that way. Commodore has been horrible. We throw pucks from low to high and they end up at Mases feet. Blocking shots is non exsistent. Maybe Klesla was the man.

Giving up about 4 goals per game in losses is the difference from last year to this. And you may as well forget about going to games against the Predators hoping for a W. The Preds have the Jackets number for whatever reason.

what's up with Mason this season? Is it just a sophomore slump or what? We were really relying on strong goaltending play this year.

^^^^It's a mix of a sophmore slump, horrible defense, and giving up juicy rebounds.

The rebounds have been a big issue, but Garon hasn't been much better than Mason and the same type of things have occurred for about 20 games now. The defense is awful. Commodore is a shell of what he was a year ago and losing Klesla has been a big blow. Tyutin and Hejda aren't as good as a year ago either.

The only d-man that's played ok is Stralman.

When is Moore (2009 First Round Draft Pick) going to be ready to play in the NHL...I'm interested that when he comes into the league how good he'll be and if he'll strengthen our D, or if he'll be a waste of a draft pick.

I'm hoping to see Moore up here next year.

I think we had a lot of these problems last year, but Mason stood on his head and played over his head and covered up a lot of these inadequacies. It's finally caught up to him this year.

Moore is a very good prospect, and he won't be a wasted draft pick.

Only way to right this ship is to make some trades or fire Hitch.
Maybe the Olympics will tire 6 teams out and we can get in to the playoffs only to get slammed by SJ.

If the CBJ were to make trades, who would they let go and who would they bring in?

When no moves of consequence are made and the team peels off 30 points in 20 games, I'll be one of about six people in the fan base that will honestly be vindicated.

I honestly have no idea who they would move but I know who I would like to see moved and Huselius is at the top of my list.

Huselius isn't going anywhere. No one s going to touch his bad contract. Same with Commodore.

^^^^^I agree. Juice nearly makes 5mil a year (4.75). Nobody wants that contract.
