The situations are not comparable. If Manning's arm strength is back, which they say it is, he will be fine.

Why would an athlete still compete after the injury he had? All you heard during the season was how bad it was and he could be paralyzed if he took a hard hit to the head, why take the chance when he has accomplished everything an athlete could want.said_aouita;1109284 wrote:That is stupid. Because Peyton said he wants to play. It's his choice and his decision. I am sure he has weighed the the possibilities. He is perfectly healthy in terms of danger to his neck and being even more severly hurt. Its all about regenerating nerves so he can get his arm strength back. The neck is fine at this point, from everything people involved have said.

He is one of the best When it comes to football knowledge, along with Brady. If we're being completely honest, one hit can end ANY football players' life. Yes, Peyton has won MVP's, has a ring, and has more money than most human beings could even fathom, but he also has something else: A LOVE FOR THE GAME. As has been evident in the recent past, players who truly love the game have an incredibly difficult time walking away from it even when they are old, let alone if they believe they can still play. I don't think there is a right or wrong decision here. People would be disappointed if Peyton chose to walk away from the game, but they would understand. Nerves are not capable of regeneration. Any QB, be it Manning or anyone else, would be nuts to go near the Broncos roster as long as Tebow is on it. The first bad pass, the first interception....and the Tebow chants begin if he is supplanted. Why on earth would anyone ever willingly put themselves through that.
