Similar.... Both got away with murder.

Again, What the fuck does this have to do with Breitbart ?

Wrong neither of them are murder.

I'm not sure what your point is. Am I a hypocrite? I never said anything about Kennedy, nor do I consider myself a "rightie" as you put it. Also, people on the OC don't get paid to write columns for the Rolling Stone magazine. I show respect for both of these men that have passed away. What is your point you are trying to make, because you don't really have one.
bigdaddy2003;1103661 wrote:Why are you pointing out that OC conservatives were supposedly celebrating Ted Kennedy's death anyways? Dwccrew who I don't think is a conservative was calling the Rolling Stone columnist who penned the article about Breitbart a douche. Your point would have been relevant if one of the OC conservatives who you say celebrated Kennedy's death suggested people show the dead respect.

stlouiedipalma;1103673 wrote:Because it was posted tonight to "show some respect for the dead". If it applies for Breitbart, it should have applied for Kennedy. Instead we had an entire thread devoted to trashing him after he died. That's why I brought up hippocracy. Apparently it only applies when the dead shared your political views.
I don't share Breitbart's political views or Kennedy's political views. Nor did I trash either of them when they died. What was your point again?

With several of his most famous cases were based on lies, the outstanding example being the Shirley Sherrod case showing his ethical and moral bankruptcy.

I don't know how many times we have to repeat it to get it through to you. When someone says to "show some respect for the dead", it should go both ways, not just for those who you support. Now if you didn't trash Kennedy, good for you. I would place you in the huge minority on that, as the hatred for Kennedy really came out after he died.

I get what you were trying to say, I just don't get why you directed it towards me. What was the point of that, seeing as how I never trashed Kennedy when he died?

If the deceased while he was alive and in a drunken state runs off the road, leaves a young girl he sought to bang to drown, and then first and foremost seeks to save his own political skin, sorry no respect. Breitbart had no such history. Where is the hypocrisy?
Let me explain.

If a "progressive" gets caught with his or her hands in the cookie jar, it only proves that they have human failings and are deserving of our forgiveness. If a conservative gets caught with his or her hands in the cookie jar, it only serves to prove that they are eeeeeevil racist, bigoted, sexist homophobes who are deserving of prison time or worse.

Yeah, I was going to post this last night but I didn't think stlouie was worth it. It's not that hard to understand what we were saying. He was just looking to take a jab at conservatives when one wasn't needed to be thrown.
Yeah, that is hilarious.

Sorry to disappoint you, but when I opened the link and read the first few words, I closed it in disgust. You see, I don't choose to buy Rolling Stone. It lost its legitimacy 30 years ago. If I were a subscriber, I would be writing them to complain about that article.

As much as I disliked Breitbart, I am not like many of the Kennedy haters here who take every opportunity to trash him. The man is dead and cannot defend himself. About all I can really say about Breitbart is that I won't have to read about him anymore.

And another thing. We're all worth it. When we choose not to have discussions, when we choose to not stand up for what we believe, we become the losers.

It's the beginning of his vetting. Putting him on stage in a socialist play is pretty big for a guy fighting the socialist label

i dont like obama as much as the next guy but come on. he was also state senator at the time. they probably get invited to many many organizations that somewhere along the line can be traced to socialism, terrorism, facism, whatever. hell, Fox News can be linked to terrorism.

It's a bigger deal than most think but it doesn't matter. Too many vote who don't even pay attention to what is going on in the country.

So if governor Romney and people he confided in for advice were part of a play about a grand wizard of the KKK, any mention of that would be a publicity stunt?

You got it backwards, it was Robert Byrd, DEMOCRAT senator, that was in the KKK. Of course, MSM never revealed that inconvenient truth because, well, he was a democrat.

Imagine that.

When you're a democrat they name highways, turnpikes, university buildings, and grade schools after you.
