Those guys mainly made up the bench for the teams that missed the tournament and lost in the 1st round as an 8 seed. This team was supposed to be a national title contender. Lighty was pretty bad offensively as a freshman though. He was out of control more often then he was under control. But Hunter and Cook were way better back then than Ravenel and Thompson/Scott are right now.LJ;1104698 wrote:Lighty was much better on the ball than Thompson.
Not saying these freshmen will never be good (see Turner, Diebler as freshmen - nothing spectacular), but they clearly aren't ready to contribute anything now.
