Now when you say never, does that mean perhaps in a few years when you feel like it you'll actually charge us?
I kid, I kid. Bravo, sir, you done good.

What about when you sellout for a huge payday to ESPN and they send in their douchebags to charge us $1/month?!

I am working on some options right now that will help pay the bills. None of them include a membership fee. That will never be an option.LocoEngineer66 wrote: Isn't it gonna get expensive justincredible?

If you care to share, how much did you put into it, and how much per month will it cost?justincredible wrote:I am working on some options right now that will help pay the bills. As far as upfront costs go, I've spent nothing but my time. Sure, I've spent a lot of it but that is it.Go_Fast_Sports wrote:If you care to share, how much did you put into it, and how much per month will it cost?justincredible wrote:I am working on some options right now that will help pay the bills. As far as monthly costs go, when I started the site my VPS (server) was $20/month. Shortly afterward I upgraded to the next size up which runs me $38/month. I imagine as the sight grows I will need to keep upgrading but the nice thing is I can easily upgrade and downgrade as I need with only a short drop in service. I will always give you guys a heads up if and when I make a change to the server that will cause downtime if I can help it.
Here is the VPS company I am using just so you guys can see where I am getting my numbers.

That's kinda what i'd like to know because if it were cheap, somebody would've done it long ago.Go_Fast_Sports wrote:If you care to share, how much did you put into it, and how much per month will it cost?justincredible wrote:I am working on some options right now that will help pay the bills. The skin and everything is much nicer than you see elsewhere.
I've noticed the donate tab at the bottom in a place where everybody can find it.
Hopefully those that appreciate it will shoot Justin a little coin "as he calls it" from time to time.
I plan on it once I have available funds.

One suggestion, google ads would work fine. I've seen them on other message boards. Great place to put them is between the 1st and 2nd post on a page (all pages). That way the site stays 100% wide on the screen, and the ads get shown but aren't domineering.

Great site . . . good to be here.
One suggestion . . . . prior to registering, I could not locate the General Forum or the Politics Forum on your site . . . they didn't show up among the list of forums. It almost kept me from registering . . . though obviously it didn't.
Maybe it was just a quirk, but if not, I suggest changing that so that you'll entice more people to register.
